Show Funeral Services Mark Passing Oi Cedar City Matron Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed in ' the Cedar' Fourth Ward chapel Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Sarah Amelia Mackelprang Adams, 90, native of Cedar City, who died Friday at her home of causes Incident to age. Mrs. Adams was born in Cedar City on July 22, 1869, a daughter of Christian and Lenora Mackelprang, Mackel-prang, and spent her entire life here. She was always active in community and church affairs. She served as a Relief Society teacher In the Third Ward for many years, was active in genealogy gen-ealogy work and did considerable considera-ble work In the St. George Temple. Tem-ple. On April 29. 1890, she . married Herbert Charles Adams in the St. George Temple. Mr. ' Adams died Feb. 26, 198. Survivors Included the following follow-ing sons and daughters: Mrs. George (Lenore) Bacon, Murray; Mrs. Norman (Louise) Green, Salinas, Calif,; Mrs. Leon-(Mignonette) Leigh, Ontario, Tallf.; Mrs. Vernon (Ruth) Dalley, Summit; Sum-mit; Mrs. Clarence Perkins, Yuma, Yu-ma, Ariz.; Wallace and Oren Adams, Cedar City. Also surviving surviv-ing are a brother, Joseph Mackelprang, Mack-elprang, and a sister, Mrs. John H. Perry, Cedar City; 18 grandchildren grand-children and 31 great-grandchildren. The funeral cervices were con-- con-- - ducted by bishop's counselor Horace Hall. Speakers were David L. Sargent and Charles R. Hunter, with remarks by Mr. Hall. Invocation Invo-cation was by Fernlelgh Gardner, Gard-ner, benediction by Samuel F. Leigh, and the dedicatory prayer at iiie cemetery by Parson U. Webster. Prayer at the mortuary prior to the services was by Bishop Bish-op Clemont Adams. The musical program Included a vocal solo, "I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked," by Clive Hartman; a vocal solo, "Beyond the Sunset," by Carol Lou Mun-ford; Mun-ford; song 'Though Deepening Trials," by a quartet composed of Mamie Eck, Lois McConnell, SiahOp LNcir Jw2iC autl lio j Cosslett. Prelude and postlude music was by Mrs. Mark Webster. |
