Show Santa Claus Comes to Cedar City Saturday The Cedar City Jaycee-Ettes in cooperation with the Junior Chamber of Commerce will bring Santa Claus to Cedar City on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 2:30 p. m. Santa Claus will ride down' Main Street on the Jaycee-Ette float and will disembark at the Union Pacific Railroad depot: where he will distribute candy and nuts to all children of the area. For the Jaycee-Ettes Maxlne' Montgomery is in charge of the Santa Claus float. Co-chairmen. of the parade are Jeanne Melville and Ruth Knight. They make a special request to all parade entrants en-trants that they met at the Knell Motel on south Main Street at 2 p. m. preparatory for the 2:30 parade. Cash prizes for floats will be awarded Including $25 for first place, $15 for second and $10 for third place honors. During the parade popcorn balls and balloons will be sold with many from the sales to be used by the group for their various var-ious civic projects. Santa Claus will also conduct the drawing for the Jaycee-Ette doll and wardrobe that has been on display at Zion Candy Kitchen tot the past two weeks. All children of the southern Utah area are Invited to attend the parade and to meet Santa Claus personally to receive their candy and nuts prepared by the Junior Chamber of Commerce. |
