Show NEWS FROM NEWCASTLE By Norma Christensen With the nice weather we have had this past week all the farmers farm-ers are trying to get their ground ready to plant. The storms have made everyone real late in getting get-ting their crops in. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Harrison and baby son of Cedar City were Sunday visitors at the home of their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Murray Harrison. Another son, Reed Harrison, Har-rison, of Enterprise, also visited at his folks home. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Asay of Pro-vo Pro-vo were visitors last week at the homes of Mrs. Cassie Christensen and Mrs. Effie Beat-ham. Mrs. Asay will be remembered as the former Saxon Forsyth. Mrs. Cassie Cas-sie Christensen rode to Las Vegas, Ve-gas, Nev., where she was a guest in the home of her son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Caine Christensen. Chris-tensen. The Asays p'ter.dcd a teacher's convention at the Star Dust Hotel. They all returned home Sunday. Mrs. Iva Harrison spent two days last week in New Harmony visiting at the home of her father. fa-ther. Ash by Pace. Miss Beverly Christensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Christensen was a week end guest of Jeannie Forsyth, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Forsyth of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Piatt and family were Sunday afternoon visitors vi-sitors in St. George where they visited their father, Robert Piatt. ' Miss Belinda Stapley of Cedar City was a week end guest of Marsha Harrison. While she was here, Iva took all of th girls their age to Veyo for an outing. Evans representing the Primary General Board and Mrs. Irene W. Buehner, representing the Relief Society Genera! Board. Miss Lucille Hunt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray V. Hunt of Beryl, gave a demonstrated lecture lec-ture and showed slides on her recent experience in the far eastern east-ern country of Nepal where she has just spent six months as a foreign exenange student. Ross Harrison of Calient. was a visitor briefly at the home of his brother and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Harrison. |
