Show Redmen Play First Baseball Game of Season Trounce Traditional Rivals by 13 to 5 Score The Cedar City High School Redmen finally got the 1964 baseball base-ball season underway this past week. Traveling to Hurricane the Redmen posted a decisive victory over the Tigers 13 to 5. It was the first time over the past four contests between the two clubs that the outcome has not been decided by a single run. The Redmen got off to a fying start pounding out 11 hits including in-cluding six doubles and a triple to lead all the way. Fred Esplin was on the mound for the Redmen for six innings giving up only two hits. Martin Skougaard came on In the seventh sev-enth and final inning to wrap up the victory. The Tigers sent Gubler and Wilson, two young right handers, against the Red-men. Red-men. In the hitting spree Lee Hunter first sacker, was the big gun as he belted out three hits including two doubles. Wes Roberts, collected col-lected two hits, a double and a triple, and was credited with four runs batted in for the con-! con-! test. Jutin Black was the only other Redman to collect more than one hit, He had two includ-, includ-, ing a double. David Jensen and Kim Leigh each had doubles . during the contest.
