Dilworth Young, a member of the First Council of Seventy of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will preside at the quarterly conference confer-ence of the Parowan Stake, which will be held on Satuiday and Sunday, April 25 and 26, It is announced an-nounced by Stake President Howard How-ard D. Knight. Accompanying Elder Young to the conference will be Mrs. Mary R. Young, representing the Relief Society General Board, and Mrs. Ada B. Maxfield of the Primary Association General Board of the LDS Church. Elder Young was a professional executive of the Boy Scouts of America for 22 years before his church appointment in 1945. He had also served as a missionary and later was president of the New England Mission from 1947 to 1951. He has traveled widely encouraging priesthood and missionary mis-sionary work In the church. Mrs. Young has been a teacher teach-er and executive in most church auxiliary organizations. A graduate grad-uate of LDS University, she is active in PTA and Red . Cross work. Mrs. Maxfielr has been active in most auxiliary organizations organi-zations of the church. She is also al-so a past president of the Lady Lions and is a president of a Parent-Teacher organization. Sessions of the conferent"e will be held on Saturday afernoon with Mrs. Young and Mrs. Max-field Max-field addressing special meetings for Relief Society and Primary leaders of the stake. A schedule of these meetings will go out from the office of the stake presidency pres-idency to those member1 who are to attend these meetings. General sessions of the Conference Con-ference will be held on Sunday at 10 a. m. and 2 p. m. with President Pres-ident Knight conducting. Tii-MIA Tii-MIA session of the conference will be held Sunday evening. Music for the Sunday morning morn-ing general session will be furnished fur-nished by the Pa rowa rl Third Ward Primary children, under the direction of Mrs. Roljerta B. Rowley, with Mrs. Ola Robinson accompanist. For the afternoon general session, the Singing Mothers of the stake will furnish special music under the direction of Mrs. Elna Stubbs, with Mrs. Vyonne Chamberlain accompanist |
