Show Photographic Awards Exhibit Opens Here Monday Two young ladies who will graduate from high school this month received the two scholarships scholar-ships awarded annually by Local No. 2651, United Mine Workers of America. The scholarships are given annually by the union to sons o daughters of union members mem-bers wno have high scholastic records. The scholarships are for $150 each, to be used at the school of the recipient's choice. The two young ladles honored this .year are Julie Ann Terry, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alma Terry of Enterprise, and Judith Christiansen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Christiansen of Cedar City. Both the young ladies lad-ies have maintained outstanding scholarship records throughout their high school study. This Is the third year the scholarships schol-arships have been awarded. First recipients, In 1957, were LaNita Terry of Enterprise, and Patricia Patri-cia Gardner, Cedar City. Last year's - scholarship winners win-ners were Henry C Terry, brother of Julie Ann Terry, Enterprise, and Ralph Watson, Parowan. |
