Show Former Resident Accorded Final Rites at Cedar City Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed in the Cedar First Ward Chapel Wednesday, May 31, for Mrs. Cora Bulloch Barson, 74, native na-tive of Cedar City who died at her home in North Long Beach, Calif., of pneumonia. The services were conducted by Ervil Asay, Bishop's Counselor. Speakers were Harry Lunt and Parson U. Webster, Invocation was by Wirth B. Bulloch, benediction bene-diction by McLean Simkins, and the dedication of the grave at the Cedar. City cemetery where burial bur-ial was made, by Eugene Mertz. Prayer at the mortuary prior to the services was by L. D. Watson. The musical prograir. Included two vocal solos, "Open The Gates of The Temple" and "One Sweetly Sweet-ly Solemn Thought," by Alice Williams, accompanied by Belle Jones, and a vocal number "Lead Me Gently Home," by a quartet composed of Alice Williams, Mamie Eck, William Condie and Ray Cosslett. Prelude and post-lude post-lude organ music was by Sue Ellen El-len Bowler. Mrs. Barnson was born In Cedar Ce-dar City In June 1888, a daughter of Robert and Marie Fife Bulloch, prominent pioneers of Southern Uta. She married Fred Barnson, who survives her. They moved to California about 20 years ago to make their home. Also surviving are two daughters, daught-ers, LaPreal Mertz, Bellflower, Calif., and Naomi Evan, Long Beach; three grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Alice Lunt, Cedar City, and two brothers, Peter Bulloch, Bul-loch, Cedar City, and James Bulloch, Bul-loch, Provo. |
