Show Summer Session fltCSU Opens June 12 Summer Session at the College u Southern Utah Is expected u attract a record number of students stu-dents next week, according to Dr. Morris Shirts, chairman. A greatly great-ly expanded course offering, special spe-cial tours and lectures are on the agenda for the regular six-week session from June 12 to 21 and the July 24 to August 4 post session. ses-sion. Most classes will be on a two-week basis. Workshop sessions will be held featuring student government in high school, aero-space education, educa-tion, park-recreational leadership, leader-ship, guidance counseling, speech-drama and business development de-velopment Tours will be taken to Hurricane Hurri-cane Mesa June 15, Utah Trails to retrace early history from Cedar Ce-dar City to Fillmore and on to Fort Bridger via Bear Lake then follow the Pioneer Trail back to Salt Lake City will take place June 16-18. June 23-21 will see the trip to historic Hole-In-The-Rock through Escalante and Sody. Independence weekend, July 1-4, travel will be taken across Navajo and Hop! land to Gallup, N. M. and back to Flag-staff Flag-staff for the famed ceremonials. Two long tours on the schedule sche-dule this year are the History Trails of early America and LDS Church History from July 23 to August 17 and the tour to Mexico City Sept. 2-12. Dr. Shirts indicated that a number of outstanding educators will supplement the regular CSU summer staff. These Include Dr. Gerald W. Brown, University of California; Lee Y. Dean, Vallejo, Calif.; Dr. George Lewis, Ohio State University; Dr. Evan Mem-mott, Mem-mott, Brigham Young University and Irving Wasserman, Utah State University. |
