Show Parowan Residents At Services for I Mrs. Albert Mitchell j Mr. and Mrs. J. Harold Mitch- j ell made a trip to Provo on Mon- I day of this week to attend fu- j ncral services for Mrs. Margaret Barker Mitchell, wife of Albert O. Mitchell of that City. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Mitchell and daughter Kathy who had spent Christmas in Salt Lake City with the Clark Mitchell family, also came to Provo for the services. Mrs. Mitchell died late Thursday Thurs-day night in a Salt Lake hospital hospi-tal after a brief illness. She was known to many people in this community because of the yearly visits of the family with relatives here. Born Jan 29, 1912 in Paris, France to Dr. and Mrs. James L. Barker, she was educated in Salt Lake Schools and received bachelor's bach-elor's and master's degrees from University of Utah She had been a teacher for ten years in Provo City Schools while her husband has been a drama professor at BYU. He was married to Albert O. Mitchell, formerly of Parowen on Dec. 2, 193-1 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple ar.d has been an active ac-tive work in that church all of her life. She is survived by her husband of Provo, eight cnnaren, James Douglas, Bloomington, Ind ; William Carl, Stanford, Calif.; Albert Orton, Jr., Nathan M., Stephen B., Nancy Laureatte and Scott B. of Provo. and Mar- guerita, Salt Lake; her mother, Salt Lake City and one brother. Funeral services were held on Monday noon in the East Sharon Stake House in Provo and burial was In the Provo City cemetery. |
