Show Parowan Rams End Practice Games This Week, Open League Play Jan. 7 with Delta The Parowan High School basketball bas-ketball team, played tw( games at home last week and .split the two contests, dropping a close decision to the Cedar High Red-men Red-men on Wednesday night by a 48 to l." score and winning from the Dixie High Flyers Thursday night by a 57 to 11 score. In the Ram-Flyer game, the visitors took the lead during the first half of play and held an 8-7 lead at the end of the first quarter and were on head 16-12 at halftime. In the third quarter Coach Brinkerhoff's Rams rolled in 20 points to 12 for the Flyers to take a 32-28 lead. This lead was lengthened when the home team went on a 25 point scoring spree in the final period while holding the visitors to 13 points for the 57-41 win. The game got a little rough and ragged with one man from each squad fouling out and several sev-eral others with 4 fouls by the time the game ended. While the Rams outscored the Flyers 16 to 14 from the field, the big margin mar-gin of victory was piled up at, the foul line where they got 25 1 out of 33 shots, the best foul shooting record so far this year1 Foul pitches also helped the Dlx-, le cause as that team shot 13 for 22 tries. Suiting the final week of the practice season on Monday night (he Parowan team traveled to Bryce Valley where they took a 71 to 51 lacing from the Tropic crew.
