DAVID SWAPP Miss Mary lane Williams and David Swapp Exchange Nuptial Vows in Church Ceremony Miss Mary Jane Williams and David Royal Swapp exchanged nuptial pledges Saturday December De-cember 18, in a ceremony performed per-formed by Bishop Robert Linford In the Cedar City Seventh Ward chapel. Following the double ring rites, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Williams, parents of the bride, hosted a reception at the College of Southern South-ern Utah Family Living Center. On December the newlyweus were again feted at an open house given in Kanab at me home of the bridegroom's mother, mo-ther, Mrs. Lois Swapp. The bride chose a bridal gown of white delustered satin featuring featur-ing lily-point sleeves and a detachable de-tachable train. The gown was fashioned with a round neck line and was highlighted by two three Inch rows of embroidery set with seed pearls, one row at the waist and the otner adorning the skirt. An elbow length veil of bridal illusion was attached to a tiara, the biiuai uuuuci. was a cascade styl made with white glamelias surrounding a black orchid. Matron of honor was the bride's sister, Brenda Cleave, and maid of honor was Suzanne Sargent. Bridesmaids were Mary Ann Palmer, Pal-mer, Loren MacDonald, Marsha Vorkink, Kathy Knell, Susan Ash-croft Ash-croft and Judy Cowan. Miss Wendy Williams and Evan Williams Wil-liams neice and nephew of the bride served as flower girl and ring bearer. Costumes for all attendants at-tendants were in black and white, matching a black and white decorating motif. The eight attendants to the bride wore two-piece two-piece black crepe gowns of floor length. The sleeveless tops were accented by long white gloves. Each of the attendants held a nose gay of white glamllas. The flower girl was dressed in white. Best man was Paul Ford and ushers were Duncan MacDonald, Roger Smith, Dave Kiggs and the bridegroom's brother Mr. Paul Swap. Mothers of the couple both wore floor-length delustered satin sat-in gowns with white gloves and white glamila corsages. At tne reception, Miss Sherrl Pardoe was guest book attend- dant and serving girls were Jean Lamoreaux, VitKy Green and Janet Higbee. Catering was by Wanda Cox. I Decor at the scene of the nuptial nup-tial party was centered around a white flocked Christmas tree trimmed with black satin roses, and evergreens sprayed white and garnished with black and white candles. The bride has also attended Brigham Young University where she majored ma-jored in art. Before her marriage, the bride was entertained at a shower given giv-en by close friends at the home of Winona Cowan. |
