Bethers Attends University Seminar A Cedar City resident is one of 34 Utah school teachers from throughout the state who has been awarded a special scholarship scholar-ship to attend a three-week seminar sem-inar at the University of Utah to study Utah's natural resources. Pratt M. Bethers, principal at Cedar City High, was the local recipient of a scholarship awarded award-ed by the University of Utah and made available by the Natural Resources Committee of the Utah Associated Chambers of Commerce. Com-merce. This scholarship, awarded after statewide competition ' " PRATT M. BETHERS among many Utah teachers, is designed to provide teachers with the opportunity to learn about the state's natural resources, to show the economic Importance of Utah industries to the state, and to encourage teachers to counsel coun-sel qualified students to enroll In classes which will prepare them for engineering and scin-tlflc scin-tlflc careers. The seminar, taught during the period from June 9 to July 1, is sponsored by the extension divl-slon divl-slon of the University of Utah and the Natural Resources Committee. Com-mittee.
