Show NEW HARMONY NEWS NOTES By Vada Grant A MIA stake dance was held! here Saturday evening under the direction of our ward officers. A large crowd was present to dance to the music of the Glen-Ray Glen-Ray Orchestra. Refreshments were served. Mrs. Lurine P. Taylor left Friday Fri-day to spend a week visiting in Clearfield and Ogden with relatives. rela-tives. Mr. ad Mrs. Clyde Hunt and family visited in Beryl Sunday afternoon. Their son Bradley remained re-mained there to visit for a week with his grandparents, ' Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hunt - ' Miss Sharon Grant was honored honor-ed at a personal shower given by Rolalne Grant on Friday evening at the ward recreation hall. The evening , was spent playing games and after refreshments were served the guests were invited in-vited to view. Sharon's trousseau which was displayed in an adjoining ad-joining room. Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Dostalek and sons of Pasadena, Calif., spent the week end here visiting Mr. and Mrs. Emll Dostalek. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Prince are In Ycemlte Park, Calif., attending attend-ing a family reunion. Mrs. Helen Jones and daughters daugh-ters of St. George visited here P.. I . .f .1. M .1 CH Vm. -'-''-J " " v" ' w ... Hammond. . A large crowd of friends and relatives gathered Monday evening eve-ning to pay their respects to Mr. and Mrs. James D. Nellson on their 50th wedding anniversary. A lovely program was presented by members of the Nellson family fam-ily and the remainder of the evening eve-ning wa spent in dancing. Refreshments Re-freshments were served. The pro-gram pro-gram consisted of a musical number by Mrs. Marguerite Me-cham; Me-cham; a song "Hand in Hand" by Miss Fayona Whitehead, accompanied ac-companied on th piano by M.-s Mecham; Piano Solo by Dana Duncan; poem, "My Grandparents," Grandpar-ents," by little Wayne Mecham; Trumpet solo by Don Gray;' violin vio-lin solo by Royal Nellson, and a vocal solo by Max Mecham, ac companied by Mrs. Mecham. |
