Show Harvey Gower Rosenberg, War Veteran, Dies After Long Illness, Services Held Monday Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed In the Cedar First Ward chapel cha-pel Monday afternoon for Harvey Har-vey Gower Rosenberg, 67 World War I veteran, who died Thursday, Thurs-day, June 19, In a Salt Lake hospital hos-pital following a long Illness. Mr. Rosenberg had been In poor health for many years, and had been confined to the hospital for some time. The services were conducted by Bishop's Counselor Nell Peterson. Speakers were Bishop Clemont Adams and Patriarch Samuel F Leigh. Invocation was by David A Smith, benediction by Norman Romberger, and the dedicatory prayer at the cemetery was by Isaac Nelson. Prayer at the mortuary mor-tuary prior to the services was by William A. Condie. The musical program Included two numbers, "I Need Thee Every Hour." and "There Is a Beautiful Land," by a quartet composed of Lois McConnell, Zelma Lunt, Ray Cosslett and Vernon Jones, accompanied ac-companied by Beth Leigh, and a violin solo by Roy L. Halversen, also accompanied by Mrs. Leigh. Prelude and postlude organ music mu-sic was by Pamela Wood. Military rites were conducted by Cedar Pest of the American Legioi. with Gordon Brlnghurst, Alfred Olson and Vergene Sim-kins Sim-kins officiating. Pall bearers wpr Mnronl R'. Smithy Oliver Jensen, Parry Mackelprang, Wm. C Adams, Willard Perkins and Tom Mosdcll. Mr. Rosenberg was born in Cedar City on Jan. 31, 1892, a son of Joseph Alfred and Charlotte Gower Rosenberg. He had spent his life here, working In construction con-struction during most of that time. He was e veteran of World War I In which he saw considerable consid-erable action. On June 8 1922, he married Cora Rollo, who survives him. Also surviving are two sons, Reed R. Rosenberg, Bakersfleld, Calif.; Donald J. Rosenberg, Tooele, five grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Gower Rosenberg, Park, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs.. 1111-ma 1111-ma Sly, Beaver, and Mrs. Laverne iDobrusky, Parowan. |
