Show NEWS FROM NEWCASTLE By Norma Chrlstensen It Is so nice to have holidays vhere families can get together -and enjoy each other's company. Among the families who celebrated cele-brated Thanksgiving together was the Sterling Tullls family. Mildred, Sterling, Danny and Kirk drove to Provo where they picked up Jack, a student at the BYU. and continued on to Garland Gar-land to the home of their daughter daugh-ter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Veron (Colleen) Gilbert. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine (Cleo) Applegate and little son of Logan, drove down -and joined them. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Harrison and family drove to Summit to .spend last Thursday with their daughter and family, Mr. and . Mrs. Roger Morton. Koger and . Lydia visited In New Castle on . ; Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hulet ;a.id family journeyed to Mes-quite, Mes-quite, Nev, to Join Nlta Rae's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Be-ber Be-ber for Thanksgiving. A sister, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Homer and family stopped in at the Hulet home Sunday on their way back to their home In Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Chrlstensen and family traveled to Ogden for the holidays, the festivities being held at the home of a sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Engstrom. This was the first time in seven years that Norma's entire family were ; able to get to gether. Norma's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Parley Deem, and grandmother, Mrs. Albert Weaver of Brigham City, stopped at the Chrlsteasen home enroute to their home In Lakewood, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. George Jolley and daughters Journeyed to Antimony, Antimo-ny, to spend the week end with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Masiel M. Jolley. Mr. and Mrs. Mont Sorenson and family traveled to Ordervllle over the week end to help Mont's folks, Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Soren-son, Soren-son, celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Hart left last Wednesday for Monterey Park, Calif., to spend Thanksgiving Thanks-giving with their daughter and her family Mr. and Mrs. Vern (Mary Lou) Malley and to visit for a while. Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Hulet and family visited In town over the week end from their Santaquin home. On Sunday Darwin moved his folks, Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Hulet to St. George for the winter. Mrs. Roberta Clark and daugh- ter, Bonnie, ate their Thanksglv-ing Thanksglv-ing dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Piatt Then on Friday, Bea and the children visited vi-sited in New Harmony at the home of James L. Prince and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Thomas and children from Enterprise and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Chrlstensen and family gathered at the home of their mother, Mrs. Cassie Chrlstensen for. Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. Trusten Hart and children visited in Hurricane last Thursday at the home of Clara's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stratton. Later In the week the Strattons visited at the Hart home. Scott Tullls rode to Salt Lake City with Jerome Tullis who went home for the Thanksgiving week end. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hart and family spent Thanksgiving day lrt Cedar City with Shirley's sister sis-ter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Demoin Sorensen. Mary Tullis and family visited In St George this week at the home of her father, Duane Lea-vltt Lea-vltt Individual awards were presented pre-sented a week ago Sunday to every one of the girls in the ward. These girls have to have 75 attendance in Sunday School in MIA and Sacrament meeting plus a number of other require ments to be eligible for this award. The girls receiving these awards were Marsha Harrison, LaNita and Gloria Jolley, Kathleen Kath-leen Knell, Sidney Tullis, Beverly, Bever-ly, Linda and Janice Chrlstensen. A special recognition was given, to Beverly Chrlstensen because she had attained 100 In all of these meetings. |
