PECTOL CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING Enjoying the holidays out of town were Mr. and Mrs. John V. Schoppman and their traveling companions Mr. and Mrs. Don Duffin. The foursome spent Thanksgiving at the home or Delwin Stanworth and family in' Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. George Haslamj departed from 'their Cedar City home November 17th enroute to Abilene, Tex. Arriving In Abi j lene November 18th, they werei welcomed by Mrs. Haslam's son, j Keith Harris and family.' After spending the Thanksgiving holidays ho-lidays with the Harrises, they returned to Cedar City. Keith,' who is in the U. S. Air Force, ! accompanied them to this area. He will depart for Thailand No-vember No-vember 29th where he expects to be stationed with the Air Force postal department for one year. His family, wife and three children, child-ren, will remain in Abilene until he returns. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Macfarlane have enjoyed the company of their daughter, Marjorie Lee Howell Ho-well and three children, who arrived ar-rived in Cedar City to spend Thanksgiving. They returned Monday to their home in Granger, Gran-ger, Utah. Traveling to Beaver for two days last week was the Richard Gillies family. They enjoyed the November holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Walt Joseph. Also on hand at the Joseph home for Thanksgiving Thanks-giving was aIi. nH Mr Keith Joseph of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Keith Joseph is the former Beverly Bever-ly Nelson of Cedar City. At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Nelson last week were Mr. and Mrs. Blair Nelson and family of Kevrns, Utah and Travis Tra-vis Nelson, who Is attending the University of Utah. The group met for the Thanksgiving holiday. holi-day. Thirty-seven members of the Joe H. Lambert family gathered ! In Lehl, Utah, to spend the No-' vember holiday together. In-1 eluded In the family group were Mr. and Mrs. Antone Lambert : and Mr. and Mrs. Kent Hoyt of Cedar City. Also on hand was the former Ha Lamoreaux and her husband. Dr. Jay Lambert, along with Mr. and. Mrs. G. T. MacDonough, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Lambert and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Fox. The couples and their child ren were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe II. Lambert at the family home. HEY CEDAR SQUARE DANCERS The near future holds dancing fun for members of the Hey Cedar Ce-dar Square Dance Group. The local club Is invited to attend dance festivals to be held in Hurricane at the Hurricane HiEh School Gym on December 8th Many activities are planned f nr the evening including supper and the special numbers provided by a professional guest caller. Spending the Thanksgiving holidays ho-lidays with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Merryweather of Ce('-- r"" were sisters and a brI'ic- ' Mrs. Merryweather along with other family members. The group which has not been together since 1954, began arriving Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. From Brigham City, Utah, came former residents resi-dents of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Conway Parry and their three children. On hand for the Thursday Thurs-day occurences were Mrs. Marian (Kay) Snow and daughter, Sidney Sid-ney Kay of Gunnison, Utah; Earl and Alice Cannon, who traveled from Costa Mesa, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Merryweather's son and daughter-in-law, Walt and Juan-lta, Juan-lta, of Salt Lake City. On Friday the family group traveled to St. George where Mr. and Mrs. Can-nun Can-nun visited prior to returning home. . Taking advantage of the holiday holi-day season Mr. and Mrs. Bevan Higbee arrived In Cedar City to spend the vacation with Bevan's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Higbee.
