Show I PAItAGOMAH LEWS L'OTES J Mrs. Mima Lamoreaux The Paragonah Ward Chapel was filled almost to capacity last Tuesday when funeral services ser-vices were held for Jim Stones. Many relatives had come from a distance. Ula's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. II. Klpp of South San Gabriel, Calif., were accompanied by Mi chael Klpp of Big Creek, Calif. The grandmother, Mrs. Bessie Evans came from Salt Lake City. Relatives came from Colorado, these' were Joseph Robinson, Rio Blanco; Howard Robinson, Rifle and Mrs. Beatrice Shideler, Silt. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Yardley were here from Phillipsburg, Montana, Mrs. George Mason and son, David, came from Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Miller came from Panguitch, Mr. and Mrs. Isabelle Kelsey came from Minersvllle, Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Heffner, Mr. ad Mr. Dan Yard-ley, Yard-ley, Mr. an.1 Mr. Waldo Yardley. Mr. and M, s J k Xd!ey, Mr. and Mrs. bi.i Yardley and Mrs. June Walbeck all came from Beaver. Bea-ver. Tar too numerous to mention were the relatives, friends and co-workers who were here from Cedar City, Summit and Parowan. The long Thanksgiving Holiday Holi-day week end was the occasion for much visiting in Paragonah as relatives came from far and near. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Burton and three children of Logan and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Lamoreaux and son, Leon, of Mldvale were here for the holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Errol Lamoreaux. The family group and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Robinson had dinner In Cedar City with Bud and Ruby Bauer. Mrs. Laura Burton and the three children are spending this week in Paragonah also. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo C. Robinson Robin-son and children of Orem were here from Wednesday to Sunday to spend the holiday with the Chester Robinsons. The Ralph Edwards family of Cedar City Joined them also and were here over night. Mr. and Mrs. II. Revere Robinson Robin-son were happy to have members of their family together for Thanksgiving Day. The Gordon Maniones were here from Tooele, the Dee Whites came from Summit Sum-mit and the Clair Robinsons were here from Parowan. Miss Vlckl Lee Robinson of Ogden also spent the holiday at the Robinson home. Forty-three family members sat down to dinner at the Arthur Arth-ur Evans home Thursday of last week. Out of town people present pre-sent included the Alan Nielsen family of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Aurelia Bauer and daughter, Bo-bette, Bo-bette, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Webster Web-ster and children, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Topham and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Blackburn and children all of Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Dalton, Kent and Karen, Mr. and Mrs. Ramon Bentley and children of Parowan, and Mr. and Mrs. Pratt Golding and two children of Panguitch. Mr. and Mrs. George A. Top-ham Top-ham traveled to Cedar City for Thangsglving dinner with the Lyman Dodge family. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. McGookin and son, Jon, of Long Beach, Calif., were here to spend the holiday ho-liday with the Wilson Lunds and Mrs. Elizabeth Maxwell. Friday the group traveled to Milford to spend the day with the Kenneth Bart0" Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Murl Gibson and daughter, Kathy, of Cedar City and Mr. and Mrs. James S. Ray of Salt Lake City, visited at the Lund home. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Berrle and children of Kearns, arrived In town late Wednesday of last week to spend the holiday with Marie's mother, Mrs. Bertha S. Topham. They remained here until Saturday. Mrs. Topham also enjoyed a visit from her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Blood and daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Pec-tol Pec-tol of Cedar City one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. Topham Top-ham had holiday visitors last week. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Reynolds Rey-nolds and children of Kanab and Mr. Joseph Miller of Panguitch Pan-guitch were here for Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sweek and son were here over-night Friday. Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Robinson had almost 30 members of their family with them for Thanksgiving. Thanks-giving. The H. N. Harris family came from Salt Lake City for Thursday and Friday, the Joe Bensons were here over night Mortensen and J. Lowell Kvans families came from Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. J. Leonard Topham Top-ham had 20 of their 22 family members together for the holiday, holi-day, including the Harold Brad-shaw Brad-shaw family of Beaver and the Rodney Joneses from Parowan. The absent members, Carolyn and Legrande Leigh of Ogden were on their way to Paragonah but had a car accident on their way nere. Mr. and Mrs. Orson Talbot were happy to have members of their family with them for the holiday. Jim and his family arrived ar-rived here Wednesday night and returned to Salt Lake City the following day. Bob and his fa- I mily from Salt Lake City and Neil from Logan remained until Sunday. Mrs. Jane Gale and the Brent Talbots of Parowan Joined the group here. Mrs. Gwen Jones traveled to St. George Wednesday to spend the holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Englestead and other family members. She returned re-turned home Friday. Mrs. Iras Jones and sons, Warren War-ren and Tom spent ihe holiday in r".U.!c! Wttii Ivlrs. cva Bell. When they returned home on Sunday they brought Grandma Grand-ma Bell back to Paragonah with them. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Robb and their little boy of Henderson, Nev., were here from early Thursday Thurs-day to Sunday for a hoi 'day visit with the Clark Robbs. The Roy McBride home was the scene of a big holiday gathering ga-thering last Thursday when his daughters and their children Joined him for the day. The Dallen Williams and Wayne Mosdell families came from Cedar Ce-dar City and the Clark L. Ortons came from Parowan. They were Joined by the Joseph E. Barton family. Mr. and Mrs. K. Doyle Robinson Robin-son had a holiday houseful last v,wk. The Victor Mathesons. Bert Walkers, Kay Robinsons and David Skougaards were all here from Cedar City for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiv-ing. Burgess and his family arrived ar-rived here from Salt Lake City Friday to visit for the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Lamoreaux, daughter, Peggy, and sons, Bradley Brad-ley and David, Mr. and Mrs. William T. Davenport and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Robinson and their fine children, traveled to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving with the Keith Skinner family. They also visited Boulder Dam. The Lamoreaux family returned home by way of Hiko, Nev. where they spent Friday night with the Fay Stewarts. Walter Talbot Is enjoying a visit with his son, Roy, in Kays-ville, Kays-ville, having gone there for Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. James Robb and daughter, Judy, of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Arch Lamoreaux Lamor-eaux of Provo were here for the week end. They visited with the Chester Robinsons and the Robbs also visited with Jim's parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. Walter Robb and with the Ward Robbs I in Cedar City. ! Mr. and Mrs. D. Amasa Stones were happy to have their family ! all home for Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Stones, son, Doug- las and daughter, Dwana, came from Ogden and remained until Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Mario Stones and family, Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Mitchell and family and Miss Carta Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Green and children all came from Cedar City while the Alan Stones family came from Parowan. j Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Hunt and their children of Stockton have been here visiting with Mrs. Las-, cea Hunt and the girls. They came Monday niht of last week to be here for the Stones' funeral service and remained for the holiday ho-liday and week end. j Mr. and Mrs. Tom Abbott and family of Murray were here to have dinner with Tom's mother, Mrs. Myrtle Abbott and other family members. The Howard I Rasmussens of Parowan Joined the group ayond with the Myron Abbott family. Tom and family and Mrs. Abbott Ab-bott enjoyed a trip to Glen Canyon Can-yon Saturday. i Mr. and Mrs. James H. Ander-1 son and Mrs. Hannah Robinson traveled to St. George Saturday to see Mr. and Mrs. Job F. Hall, who are both in poor health. Pobin Lamoreaux spent several days in Salt Lake City last week. He spent part of the time with the H. N. Harris family. I Mr. and Mrs. H. Revere Robinson Robin-son and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Manzione traveled to Page, Ariz, and the Glen Canyon Dam Sat-I Sat-I urday. They also visited the mo-! mo-! vie sets near by. They were accompanied ac-companied by Jerry and Douglas Robinson of Parowan. Mrs. Nellie Dalton's visit in Salt Lake City came to an abrupt end last week when she received word of Jim Stones' death and hurried home for the funeral. She expects to return to the city next week. j Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Galway i of Salt I'.ke City were over-night guests at the T. A. Robinson home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Maxwell of Toquerville were Monday visitors at the Wilson Lund home. |
