Show Cedar Teenager Found After Night In Hamblin Valley Iron County Sherriff Officers and members of the Iron County Jeep Patrol were called out Sunday Sun-day evening to assist in the search for Brent Nelson, 18, who became lost while pine nut hunting hunt-ing in the Hamblin Valley area in western Iron County. Nelson in company with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Nelson Nel-son had apparently become lost shortly after 2 p. m. Sunday afternoon af-ternoon when he left the group to return to the car for water. Later when he had not returned return-ed the Nelsons went back to the car and found that he had not been there. They began searching search-ing and near night fall when Brent had not been found, they returned to Cedar City and asked for assistance. Sheriff Otto Fife and members of the Jeep Patrol responded and went back to the valley to search. Brent - was found at approximately approxi-mately 2 a. m. Monday on a roadway leading back toward Modena. He hud discovered the road and had begun hiking to Modena. He had hiked approximately approxi-mately 25 miles over a period of nearly 10H hours. 1 |
