Show Cedar Men Reserve Stall Space For Ely Race Meet . Douglas Clark and Henry Mackelprang, Jr., both of Cedar City, have made stall reservations reserva-tions at Ely, Nev. for the annual an-nual race meet which will be lieUl the last two week ends of August at the White Pine fairgrounds fair-grounds according to an announcement an-nouncement from Kly this week. Stall reservations have been made by Mr. Clark for Brother Rubber, Brother Scraps, Sister Spott and two other horses. Reservations Res-ervations made by Mr. Mackelprang Mackel-prang are for Beau Falcon, June lUy.h, Piute and Hieva Sue. These horses are among ISO thoroughbreds already registered for the annual race meet. In addition ad-dition to the Nevada Fair of Industry In-dustry and the race meet, which brings horses from at least seven se-ven states and spectators from throughout the west, there will he featured this year a horse show of brooding classes and wtfin skills. 'TArre will be four davs of racing. rac-ing. Aug. 18. 19, 2") and 2f, with horses which have been winning in other big western meets competing com-peting for the $10,000 in purses. The Nevada Fair of Industry, with industrial, agricultural, mining and homemaking displays, dis-plays, handicrafts, gems and minerals and a variety of other exhibits, will be in session Aug. 21. 25 and 20 complete with fun-filled fun-filled midway. Featured parts of the horse show include Plug Horse derbies, musical chairs, cutting horses, trail horses and reined cow horse events, and a horsemanship class for children. |
