Show Jaycees to Start Series of Children's Dances As a means of supplementing the city's summer recreation program, a complete series of summer dances for the children of Cedar City and vicinity will begin next Wednesday evening in the open air dance pavilion under the sponsorship of the Junior Jun-ior Chamber of Commerce youth activities committee, according to Burns K. Sherratt, board advisor. All dances will be free of charge to all youngsters. It is hoped by the committee in charge that dancing can be provided pro-vided for teenagers on future dates. Tentative plans now call for dances to be held each Friday Fri-day evening. Should the events proe popular, pop-ular, stated Mr. Sherratt, the series of dances will be continued contin-ued on through the winter months. The open air dance pavilion w ill be completely repainted and renovated by the Jaycees, in cooperation co-operation with the Cedar Stake M. I. A. All dances will be supervised super-vised by members of the Jaycees. |
