Show Travel at Utah Parks Remains High During Past Month Tourist travel in both Zion National Na-tional park and liiyce Canyon National park continued- hiii during July of this year with both parks recording slight increases in-creases over travel last year. At Zion, there were (i.").lii7 tourists tour-ists last month, compared to tM.SOl during the same month a year ago. Hryee had 5(1,155 visitors vis-itors last monih, an increase over last year when 4H.S1'S people went through the park. Californians again led the list of visitors to both parks, followed fol-lowed in each case by Utahns. At Zion, Ihere were 22. 411 visitors visit-ors from California, while Utahns totaled 9.5!Ri. The next closest was Illinois with 3.272. At Bryce, Californians totaled 15.050 visitors, followed by Utahns numbering 8,318 and II-, linois third with 2,C73. tars entering the parks represented repre-sented all of the states, the Dis-rict Dis-rict of Columbia, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, England, Germany, Japan, Ja-pan, Dutch West Indies, Cuba, Puerto Rico, British West Indies, Mexico, Switzerland, Venezuela, Austria, Guam, India, Norway, Nicaragua, France, South Africa, Scotland, Canal Zone and the Philippine Islands. |
