Show Reservations Arrive Early for Municipal Convention With plans nearing completion for the Utah Municipal League convention to bp held here on Aug. 30, 31 and Sept. 1, -100 res ervatiuns already have been received re-ceived by the housing committee, with the total figure expected to hit between SOI) and 1000. Final plans are expected to be drafted this evening when Tom McCoy, executive secretary of the league, will be in Cedar City to meet with city officials who are handling arrangements for the convention. Under tentative plans, formulated formu-lated earlier, Gov. J. Bracken Lee is expected to address one of the sessions of the gathering. Another An-other one of the principal speakers speak-ers during the convention will be Carl Chatters, Chicago, a director direct-or of the American Municipal Association. As-sociation. In charge of local arrange ments is Mayor L. V. Broadbent, assisted by the city council and city manager. Activities for the ladies auxiliary of the league will be under the direction of Mrs. Broadbent, who will be assisted as-sisted by the wives of the coun-cilmen. coun-cilmen.
