Show Arthur Joseph Announces Plans to Open Parowan Tradina Center on Au crust 25 s Plans are being made for the opening of the Parowan Trading Trad-ing Center, on Saturday, Aug. 25 it is announced by Arthur Joseph, Jos-eph, owner and proprietor. Mr. Joseph expects everything to be ready by that time for the opening open-ing of his new store which will carry a complete stock of general gen-eral merchandise, dry goods and hardware for the convenience of i customers in the Parowan area. ' The new store, which has been under construction since March 12, this year, is located on the corner of Main and First North streets, just across the street from the county court house. The building, which has been erected under the personal supervision of Mr. Joseph, and its merchandising merchandis-ing fixtures when installed, will cost its owner $31,500. It is of concrete, brick and steel con-s'.ruction, con-s'.ruction, with glass brick windows win-dows on the north side furnishing furnish-ing some direct lighting. The entire en-tire front of the store is of glass. Mr. Joseph states that the business bus-iness will open with $30,000 worth of merchandise on the shelves and cases, with the stock to be added to until it totals a value of $50,000. The new store has a 40 foot frontage on Main street and runs east on First north for M feet. The new structure adds much to the appearance of the city's main street. The opening of the store will mark the re-entrance of Mr. Jos-eph Jos-eph into the merchandising field after an absence of about six years. He started in this field with the old Paiowan Equitable Coop store. Later he and a group of associates purchased the Parowan Paro-wan M & M store now the Parowan Par-owan Mercantile, and he became its manager, lie later purchased the interests o: stveral of his associates as-sociates and became majority owner in the institution, lie sold out to Ed J. King and Stanley S. Cheever of Salt Lake City in 19-15. |
