Show EliOGH AND MIDVALLEY NOTES By Cora Murie Bishop Stanley Smith of Bountiful Boun-tiful visited here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ellison Picking of Bountiful visited here Sunday. They took their daughter, Nancy, who has been staying with her grandmother, Mrs. Petty for a few weeks, back with them. They also al-so took Jennie Adair back to Bountiful with them for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn Armstrong and daughter, Audrey, and son, Dllworth, spent a few days visiting visit-ing in Brigham City with El-win's El-win's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Armstrong, and brother, Clyde, and family. Millard Halterman is home after af-ter spending some time in the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Matheson have been notified of the birth of a baby girl to their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gaylon Matheson, who are residing resid-ing at Layton, Utah. The baby, the second grandchild of ' the Mathesons, was born on July 4. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Owen Matheson and Mr. and Mrs. Myron Jones of Enoch. Mrs. Rua Jones returned this week after a trip to Idaho to accompany ac-company her husband, Ivor, 'home after two months of em- ployment in that state and Montana. Mon-tana. The couple visited with a number of their friends en route home, including the Armstrongs in Brigham City, and Bishop Smith and sons and their families fam-ilies at Bountiful. Mrs. Jones reported re-ported that while in Idaho it rained every day with but two exceptions. John Anderson of Salt Lake City spent the week end visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Anderson. He took his wife back with him to Salt Lake City. She has been here and in Parowan for a week visiting. Other visitors at the Anderson home included Mr. and Mrs. Kent Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Baldwin and family and Keith Anderson, all of Las Vegas. The Enoch Ward celebrated July 4 at the Grimshaw farm and had a very good time. The MIA cleared about 580 on refreshments sold. Only sour note was the inevitable in-evitable wind. Dee Wilcken has completed the excavation for his home. The Teachers Quorum and leaders went swimming and into in-to the canyon for a weiner roast Saturday evening. |
