Show I Special flntlerless Deer Hunt Proclaimed j According to the Utah Deer, Hunting proclamation, dated July 1 and appearing in Sunday's dai-1 ly papers, 1000 head of doer are I to be taken from the Parowan ! deer hunting unit 57 during the hunting season this fall in special spe-cial hunts for antlerless deer. Of the 1000 head of antlerless deer to be taken from herd unit No. 57, 800 of them will be taken from the Cottonwood Fremont area during the regular deer hunting season which opens on Saturday, Oct. 22 and runs to Tuesday, Nov. 1, both dates inclusive. in-clusive. The other 200 will be taken during two special week end hunts, the first of which is set for Nov. 19 and 20, and the second on Dec. 3 and 4. Special permits for the taking of deer during these hunts, will be sold at the Courthouse in Par-' owan in late summer. Purchasers of these special permits must be holders of a regular deer hunting hunt-ing license of the State of Utah, before they can apply for the special permits. The regular Utah deer license entitles the holder to one deer of either sex in all parts of Utah with the exception of the West Desert area, where bucks only may be taken. The boundaries of the Cottonwood Cotton-wood Fremont area where the i 800 hornless deer are to be taken are as follows: I Beginning at junction of Highway High-way 91 and Little Creek road; l thence northeasterly and easterly i along Little Creek road to State Highway 20; thence easterly along said highway to Highway 89; thence northerly along said highway to junction of the Fremont-Dog Valley road; thence westerly along said road to U. S. Highway 91; thence southerly to junction of Little Creek road and place of beginning. The 200 head of hornless deer to be taken from the Parowan division of Unit 57 on two week end hunts will be taken from sections designated by the game warden in charge of the hunt when those week ends arrive. ; Purchasers of permits for these itwo hunts must pick up tag at aj I designated checking station, and! much check in and out, according to the proclamation. |
