Show Active FF A Member To Attend B AC On Oil Scholarship Chad Carling, outstanding Future Fu-ture Farmer, and prominent athlete ath-lete of Hinckley high school, will register at the Branch Agricultural Agricul-tural college this fall on a $350 scholarship presented to him by the Standard Oil Company of California. The scholarship is for use at any school of his choosing, choos-ing, and Carling has announced that he plans to attend the southern Utah college to continue contin-ue his training in agriculture. In Future Farmer work, Carling, Carl-ing, who is a resident of Deseret, has carried beef as a project and has exhibited at the Millard County Junior Livestock Show. He has served as vice president and president of the Hinckley Chapter of F. F. A., and has represented rep-resented his chapter in judging contests at Logan and Cedar City and as a delegate to the State F F A convention. During the past year he served as president presi-dent of the Millard-Beaver area of the Future Farmers of America Ameri-ca and conducted the area contests con-tests which were held at Hinckley Hinck-ley in March. He has been outstanding in athletics, playing on the Hinckley Hinck-ley high school basketball team four years. He has also been active ac-tive in extra-curricular work. having played the lead in the school play for three years, and having taken part in the school opera. He served as business manager of the Yearbook, and In ther capacities. |
