Show HAPPENINGS IN PARRGONRH By Nora Lund The long week end afforded the necessary time for many former for-mer townspeople to spend Independence Inde-pendence Day here with relatives rela-tives and friends, among whom were Mr. and Mrs. Norman Harris Har-ris and sons, and Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Talbot from Salt Lake City with the T. A. Robinsons and the Renford Talbots. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Williamson and daughters of Las Vegas, Nev., are spending the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Williamson here and Mrs. Hulda Peterson, Mrs. Williamson's mother, in Summit. Also guests of the Williamsons Wil-liamsons are Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Dixon of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Hunt are happy to have their daughter, Larie, home for a few days. Miss LuAnn Day and Miss Lorna Jackson, Jack-son, her girl friends, accompanied her home. Mr. and Mrs. John Alverson and family and a gentleman friend from Henderson, Nev., Mrs. Martha Mar-tha Alverson of Stockton and Mrs. Cleo Crawford, are here with their aunts and sister, Mrs. Lascaj Hunt and Mrs. Rosella Barton. Mrs. Marie Gale, and four chil-j dren of Moses Lake, Wash., arei enjoying a pleasant visit with her sister, Mrs. Lola Robb and family and her sister-in-law, Mrs. Annie Talbot and Mrs. Dclso Talbot. Tal-bot. Eugene Davenport of Salt Lake City, a former Paragonahite, Is here with his brother Louis and Wm. and his sister, Mrs. Delia Marsden of Parowan. LaGrande and Farrel Robb arrived ar-rived in town last week from points In Idaho and Montana where they have had employment. employ-ment. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Barton and family stopped briefly in town Saturday on their way to Mesquite, Nev. to spend the holiday holi-day with Rulon Barton and Mr. and Mrs. Clark Showalter. It seems natural to have Mrs. Virginia Dunton and David here again from their home In St. George. " Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Lud, Mary Lee, Susan and Tommie of Weed Heights, Nev., made Mr. and Mrs. Terry Lund very happy when they arrived late Saturday night. Their 10-day vacation will be divided di-vided between their friends and relatives here and the Thomas Davis family in Tanguitch. Mrs. Melinda Jolley of Glen-dale Glen-dale visited her sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Eliza-beth Maxwell one day last week. Mrs. Maxwell is on the sick list. Mrs. Emma Keele, Mrs. Marie Lambeth and children of Cedar City were also visiting at the Wilson Lund home here. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Dalton have been entertaining guests the last few days. Wm. Kartheringham, n cousin of Mrs. Dalton, of Salt Lake City, has been doing business busi-ness In this area. Willard Dalton and Mr. and Mrs. Melvln Callister of Salt Lake City spent Friday to Monday with Willard's parents. On Sunday Sun-day the group visited the scenic beauties of Bryce Canyon and Cedar Breaks. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Topham and four sons left Friday on their vacation to northern points. In Salt Lake City they will he guests of Tauline's sister and family, and In Brlgham City their time will be spent with her brother, the Miller family. Leon Guyman is happy to be home for a short leave from his duty In the Navy. Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Topham drove to Panguitch on Sunday to visit relatives and friends. Evon Topham and daughter have moved to Cedar City to make their home. Gordon Manzlone, who has been working with the state engineers en-gineers In the vicinity of Fort Bridger, Wyo, and Vernal, Utah, arrived home Monday to spend a week with his wife, Janene, who is spending the summer with her parents, Mr. and Mrs Revere Robinson. Howard Dalley of Summit, W. Leonard Evans of Farowan, and Dee Wilcken of Enoch, along with Gilbert Robinson, were in attendance at our church service on Sunday. The Second Quorum of Elders of the Paragonah Ward gave the preliminary program In the stake Priesthood meeting Sunday eve-ing eve-ing in Parowan. LaGrande Robb conducted, Joe and Errol Lamor-eaux Lamor-eaux played a harmonica duet and Clifford Robb gave a talk. William T. Davenport has taken tak-en up his abode for the summer months In the cool retreat of the Horse Valley ranch for his health. Some of the decendents of the William E. Jones family held a reunion and get-together In Parowan Par-owan Canyon on Sunday. The late Mr. Jones was one of the stalwart pioneers and was bishop of this ward for years. Mr. and Mrs. Tercival of Sal'. Lake City spent a short time here on Saturday. Mrs. Tercival will be remembered as the former form-er Lena Topham. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wilkin. Paul and Mrs. Orson Wilkin of Eager, Ariz., spent a few days here with their Lund relatives, and In Beaver with Mrs. Wilkin's relatives, the Whites. Mrs. Marlon Englestead of St. George came up for the Jones reunion re-union and to visit with the Howard How-ard Jones family. It was a pleasure for Jim and Lila Stones and family to have Llla's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kipp and Jean here from California to spend the week with them. Mrs. Bob Lamoreaux and family fam-ily of El Centro, Calif., arrived here during the week to spent a while with the Howard Jones and Bonnie's folks in Panguitch. They also attended the Jones reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Robb, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Smith, Mrs. Jane Adams and Mrs. Mable Robinson of Salt Lake City, were here to attend the Jones reunion.
