Davis Independence Day was celebrated cele-brated very quietly with a fine program at 10:30 a. m., children's sports at 3 o'clock, a children's dance at 6 o'clock and a dance at Cobble Crest in the evening. Many of our friends from California, Califor-nia, Nevada and all parts of Utah were here for the celebration. The descendants of John Parker Park-er held a Parker reunion at Zion National Park July 1 and 2. They report a very fine time and a good crowd in attendance. Ren Williams has returned home from the Iron County hospital hos-pital where he was confined for a few days owing to injuries received re-ceived while working at the So. Utah Poultry plant. Mr. and Mrs. Laron Chri'sten-sen Chri'sten-sen and children spent a few days visiting in Henderson,' Nev. with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Parker and children Van, Melvin and Vee Don; Mr. and Mrs. Burns Parker and chiUren, and Mr. and Mrs. Sabin and children of Compton, Calif, were here visiting for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Parker and children were former residents here. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Pollock and children of Tooele, Utah, spent a few days with Mr. Pollock's Pol-lock's father, Sam L. Pollock. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Birch and children of Price spent a few days with Mrs. Birch's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pollock. Mrs. Lucille Gubler has returned return-ed home after visiting in California Cali-fornia with one of her daughters. Mr. and Mrs. Laron Robinson enjoyed a visit from some of their children from Orem and California. |
