Starting with a salute at dawn by the fire department, some type of entertainment was scheduled throughout the day until the end of the fireworks display at 10:30 p. m. Monday evening. The annual miniature' parade, sponsored by the Lady Lions, drew a tremendous crowd with Main Street nearly packed to witness the kiddies on their bicycles, bicy-cles, and the lovely floats that were entered by businesses, civic groups and by individuals. Patriotic Program A patriotic program, presented by the American, Legion, following follow-ing the parade was well attended and children and parents alike were entertained with foot races conducted by the Jaycees until noon. The Junior High School band, under the direction of Eugene Hellend, added zest to the parade pa-rade with its colorful maneuvers maneu-vers and playing.
