Show Last Rites Accorded Mrs. Nellie A. Rowley Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in thp Parowan First Ward chapel cha-pel for Mrs. Nellie Atkin Rowley, 49, wife of Richard Lee Rowley, who died at her home here on Saturday, following an extended illness. Mrs. Rowley was born Jan 21, lLt(K) in Bloomington, Washington Washing-ton County, a daughter of lleber C. and Mary Tierce Atkin. She was married to Mr. Rowley in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1923, and they came to Parowan to make their home several years ago. Surviving are her husband, of this city; five sons and daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Shirley Swain, Los Angeles; An-geles; Beverly, William, Harold and Sheldon Rowley all of Faro-wan. Faro-wan. Also surviving are four grandchildren. The funeral services were conducted con-ducted by LeRoy Adams of the First Ward Bishopric and Mary Lyman was at the piano throughout through-out the services. Speakers were John W. Bentfey and W. Clair Rowley. The opening open-ing prayer was offered by liar-ley liar-ley W. Dalton, the closing prayer by Thomas H. Rowley, and at the city cemetery where interment inter-ment took place, the grave was dedicated by George S. Rowley. A male quartet consisting of Ray Lyman, Verl Taylor, William Carlston and Harold Mitche.ll, sang "The Lord Is My Shcphed" as the opening song, and "Jesus, Lover of My Soul" as the closing number, and a vocal duet "In the Garden" was sung by Rula D. Orton and Mary Dawn Dalton. |
