Show Program Marks Closing Of College Quarter A special Christmas program at ColJege of Southern Utah initiated in-itiated the Yuletide season holiday holi-day which begins today, Thursday. Thurs-day. At 11 a.m. Wednesday, Lambda Delta Sigma fraternity, with the cooperation of the dance department depart-ment under the direction of Miss Geniel Reeves, instructor, featured featur-ed a program built around thei story of the birth of Christ. It: led up to our modern-day Christmas Christ-mas and the entrance of Santa' CI a us, according to George Wil-1 Hams, LaVcrkin, Lambda Delta ; Sigma inlerfraternity chapter president. A special dance number, "The Juggler of Notre Dame," a traditional tra-ditional dance done annually on many university and college 'campuses during the Christmas season, was presented by the' CSU dance department. Fall term ends today at noon, and Ward Robb, registrar, announced an-nounced that most students attending at-tending CSU completed their winter win-ter term registration. New and transfer students, and those who will not have completed before Thursday, will have an opportunity oppor-tunity to register on Jan. 3, the first day of Winter term. Those participating in the last activity of the 1955 session were Faun Okerland, "The Story of Christmas"; George Wil.'iams, vocal vo-cal solo, "O Holy Night"; a reading read-ing by Mary Jane Dalley; vocal solo, Karen Lees. A double-mixed quartet was featured as were letters to Santa by a number of CSU students. Jackie Winterrose was dance soloist in "The Juggler of Notre Dame." |
