Show Mult Education I Program Classes Set Up The adult education program to be given in Parowan during the winter, has been tentatively set to open on Wednesday, Jan. 4, according to Mrs. Miriam Lister, Lis-ter, who is chairman of the local program. Mrs. Lister is being aided aid-ed in lining up the adult schedule sched-ule of classes by Mrs. Fae Dix, Iron County coordinator for adult education; PrincipaJ Max S. Dal-ley Dal-ley of the high school Mrs. Betty Bet-ty Decker, Mrs. Pauline Rumm-ler Rumm-ler and Mrs. Nell Bentley of the Parent-Teachers Association. A tentative schedule of classes class-es and teachers as outlined by the above committee are as follows: fol-lows: Furniture refinishing and leathercraft and plastics, to be taught by Duane Van Ausdal, industrial in-dustrial arts instructor at the high school. Physical education for women, to be taught by F. C. Van Buren In the high school gym. Family clothing and tailoring, and meal planning, with both of these classes to be taught by Miss Beth Anderson, homemak-Ing homemak-Ing instructor at the high school. Amateur photography, to be taught by Claude Adams of the high school photography. A class in ceramic tile, to be taught by A. C. Hatch, also of the high school faculty. Four of these classes, .leather-craft .leather-craft and plastics, women's physical phy-sical education, photography and ceramic tile, will require the payment pay-ment of a $5.00 fee to cover costs of the classes. Another thing which Mrs. Lister Lis-ter would like to stress is the fact that it is planned to begin the classes in the program on the night registration takes place. Further announcement as to hours and rooms for these classes class-es to be held will be made by the committee. |
