Show ,New Carillon Announces Victory for B. A. C. Basketball Team The ringing of the bells after the basketball game Friday night announced not only an athletic victory but another achievement in the improvement of the facilities at the Branch Agricultural college. A drive has been underway for some time to raise funds with which to purchase a carillon to replace the old bell that formerly for-merly hung in the "Old Main" building before it was destroy- ed by fire. Although sufficient funds have not been raised to meet the entire en-tire cost, the carillon has been installed and has already been put to use. All southern Utah will have a chance to hear the new instrument when it is played tonight during the Radio Workshop presentation of the Bronco Roundup. The school song and a few Christmas carols will be played on the carillon dur- ing this off.cial presentation. It has been reported that Sl'JUfl of the needed SJ.'JOO for the carill-lon carill-lon has been raised, and an additional ad-ditional ?SJ00 has been pledged. Plans are going forward to complete com-plete the drive for funds. It is expected that the student body and the alumni association will stage a dance and variety show in an attempt to complete the fund drive. |
