Show I Rotary Club Hears Talk on Present Korean War Edwin L. Peterson, political science instructor at the Branch Agricultural college, was the principal speaker at the weekly luncheon meeting of the Cedar City Rotary club Tuesday noon in El Escalante hotel. Mr. Peterson spoke on the present pres-ent Korean situation and our re-lations re-lations with Soviet Russia. He described the Korean war as an-other an-other step in Russia's overall plan which has been developing behind the Iron Curtain. He went on to say that one good seemed Ho be coming out ot the conflict, and that was the uniting of countries which are tiying to preserve their freedoms. He was introduced to the club by D. C. Dix, chairman of the International committee, which was in charge of the program. Also appearing on the program was Bernard Quinn, who sang vocal solos, accompanied by Reed Berrett at the piano. |
