Show Prominent Educator To Appear at II oi U Centennial Fete sir -..-nii..miiii iiM-inrn-fi DOROTHY B. NYSWANDER One of America's prominent and most respected educators will return to the University of Utah campus as a feature of the institution's Centennial on February Feb-ruary 28. She is Dr. Dorothy B. Nystand-er, Nystand-er, professor of public health education, ed-ucation, School of Public Health University of California. Dr. Nys-wander Nys-wander from 1926 to 1936 was professor of psychology at the University of Utah. Specializing in all fields of parent and child health education, educa-tion, Dr. Nyswander has won a brilliant reputation in New York City, with the Inter-American Education Foundation in Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, and as an aid to the ministries of education in both South and Central America. During World War II she served serv-ed as an administrative consultant con-sultant to several Federal agen cies. She has taught at Brigham Young University and the University Uni-versity of Minnesota and has lectured lec-tured in all parts of the country. Dr. Nyswander will speak at a luncheon meeting in the Union building on Feb. 27, to open the Centennial. Her subject will be "Presentation for a Democratic World". . In Kingsbury Hall on Feb. 28 at 2:30 p. m. Dr. Nyswander will join Dr. Alvin C. Eurich, president presi-dent of the State University of New York, and Dr. Lee a Du-Bridge, Du-Bridge, president of California Institute of Technology, in a symposium on "The Role of a State University in American Education. |
