Show Guard Battery Gets New Equipment Via Air Transport New uniforms and a considerable amount of equipment were delivered deliver-ed to Battery A. 213th Armored Field Artillery, local unit of the Utah National Guard, when a C-47 transport landed at the Cedar City Airport Friday evening, the first Air Freight delivery of . its type ever made in the state. The delivery de-livery was made by the, Air Wing of the National Guard. Included in the shipment were fifty uniforms, a Jeep, considerable mess equipment, tentage and shell helmets, a total shipment of two tons. New enlistments have brought the total strength of the local Battery to 24 men, according to Captain John Lamb, Battery Commander. However, he reports that there are still plenty of vacancies in the Battery Bat-tery and a number of good ratings open. Recruits may join by reporting report-ing at the Armory on drill night, Monday and Thursday of each week, at 7:30 p. m. |
