Show Pres. George Albert Smith To Address Institute Graduates Commencement week on the Branch Agricultural College campus will be ushered In with a Joint Institute In-stitute Commencement and college i baccalaureate service on Sunday j evening, May 18. Director Gustlve O. Larson announces that President George Albert Smith of the L. D. S. Church will deliver the address to the 1947 graduating class from the Cedar L. D. S. Institute, which will serve also as baccalaureate sermon to the Branch College students. Thirty-eight students who nave oompleted the requirements for graduation will form the largest graduating class yet to leave the local Institute of Religion. President Smith's selection Is a particularly fortunate one this centennial cen-tennial year, not only because of his position but because he Is grandson grand-son of George A. Smith, who Is considered con-sidered the father of Southern Utah. His presence will add much to the centennial spirit In this part of the state. |
