Show Southern Utah Public Welfare Workers Meet Here Public Welfare Boards and workers work-ers from nine southern Utah counties coun-ties will meet in Cedar City on Tuesday, Tues-day, May 6, to learn the full effects ef-fects of recent legislation on the the welfare program. County Welfare Boards, Directors and workers from Millard, Beaver, Iron, Washington, Kane. Oarfleld, Piute and Sevier counties will be In attendance. A general session will open at the Escalante hotel at 10 a. m.. with .sectional meetings to be held during the afternoon. The State Welfare officers will be present to outline all changes made necessary by the new legislation. The visitors will be P. T. Farns-worth, Farns-worth, Welfare Chalrmanf Sophus Bcrtleson, and Parley Whlfc, Commissioners; Com-missioners; James G. Kerr, Director of Bureau of Assistance and Service; Ser-vice; Claude Pratt, State Personnel officer; MLss Anne Crane, Budget Analyst, and Aubra Curtwrlght, Field Representative. |
