Show Hurricane Berry Day Celebration Date Advanced Due to the rapid Dixie ripening season, the Hurricane Strawberry Day celebration, originally scheduled for May 17th has been advanced to May 10th, officials of the Hurricane Lions Club, sponsors of the event, announce. The feature of the day will be a "Strawberry Dance,- during which luslcous Dixie strawberries will be served free to the public. Everyone is Invited to attend. Utah's Dixie extends from ZIon National Park on the East to Santa San-ta Clara on the West. The unusual semi-tropical Dixie climate splits Utah Into two distinct growing seasons, sea-sons, and the bulk of the Dixie strawberry crop will be picked and marketed before strawberries ripen In Northern Utah. This year the first Dixie straw-berries straw-berries were picked and placed on the local markt on April 19th. |
