Child, president of the LDS Western West-ern States Mission, praising their son Glen for his efforts in the mission field during the past two years. Brother and Sister Myron S. Jones Dear Brother and Sister Jones: ; Your son, Myron Glen Jones, will be honorably released from his labors as a missionary In the near future, having at that time completed his assignment in the Western States Mission. You have every reason to oe very proud of your son and of the labors he has accomplished while laboring as a missionary. He has been one of our outstanding out-standing leaders. Whert he first came into the home he bore a very fervent testimony of the truth of the Gospel and I knew at that time, with such a beginning be-ginning he would be an elder on whom we might depend for any assignment. He has labored all of his time in the Black Hills District where he has been so useful and has made such an excellent contribution contribu-tion that we were not willing to I move him to another district. As you know, he has labored dur-i dur-i ing the last year as our district supervisor and district president, and has been very successful in holding the people together and 1 building up the branches and In keeping the missionaries active and happy and united in their work. Ho has a great deal of humility, has strong faith, and a personality that will win friends anywhere. He was Just In our home with some other supervisors and district dis-trict presidents at a conference where he have had a wonderful time together. He left today for his field of labor and to assem ble his belongings to return home. We have learned to love him very much and dislike to see him leave, but I know the reunion at home will be a fitting reward for the labor he has done. We appreciate having his brother bro-ther here in the field. He is starting start-ing out very beautifully and will, I am sure, make one of our leaders, as he acquires the necessary nec-essary development through experience. ex-perience. I wish to thank you for both of these fine young men and for any sacrifice you may have made in making it possible possi-ble for them to be in our mission, and I sincerely pray that the Lord will bless you for it and that everything will work out well for them on their return homo. Thanking you again, and with kind personal regards, I am, Francis A. Child, |
