Show Lions Club Honors Charter Members Charter members of the Cedar City Lions club were honored at a lady's night banquet at the Escalante hotel Monday night, the eighteenth anniversary of the organization of the club. Approximately Approx-imately 150 members of the club, their wives and charter members not now associated with the club were in attendance. The principal speaker of the evening was I. E. Riddle, first president of the club, who outlined out-lined the history of the club, par-tlcularly par-tlcularly In the early years of the organization. Short talks were also given by Dr. 0. Anderson, An-derson, Dr. R. W. Farnsworth, Dr. J. S. Prestwlch, Clarence E. Miller, Morris Roberts, and Ned Sargent, all past presidents of the club. President Pratt M. Bethers presided pre-sided and C. J. Beasley, a past president, was master of ceremonies. cere-monies. The group was favored with a zylophone solo by Mrs. Leo Ca-noon Ca-noon accompanied by Mrs. Grant Seaman, and with a piano solo by Frank Van Cott |
