Show Rotary Club Members Hear Timely Talks The program at this weeks meeting of the Cedar City Rotary Ro-tary club was built around timely time-ly discussions of present conditions, condi-tions, with Menzles Benson, in charge of the meeting. Douglas Clark, vice president of the Utah Livestock Association, Associa-tion, reported on livestock conditions condi-tions in this vicinity as the result re-sult of the storms of the past three weeks, indicating that all herds had been reached and that practically all producers had feed available and were reaching reach-ing their flocks. The cost, he indicated, in-dicated, would be terrific and would effect the economy of the industry for a long time to come. Dr. L. V. Boardbent, president of the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce, discussed the plans of that organization for this year's activities, and appealed to the Rotarlans for support in meeting problems that may face the com- munity. Mayor Gronway R. Parry, who had spent the past week in the snow swept ranges battling the drifts In an attempt to reach stranded cattle and sheep, told of some of the conditions and of some of his experiences, including in-cluding among other things, an eight mile walk to safety after his "Snowmobile" had broken down. |
