Completes Innouclation Of Cedar Children Several hundred students of the Cedar City schools have been Immunized Im-munized against smallpox, dip-therla, dip-therla, or both during a three day clinic held at the Elementary school building under the sponsorship oi the Parent-Tefechers' Association, with the Cedar City Elks Lodge cooperating. co-operating. Clinics were held Monday and Tuesday, March SO and 31st. from 10 to 12 p. m. Students unable to attfflfl at these times were vaccinated vaccin-ated Wednesday, April 8. A total of 484 students from the elementary, element-ary, Junior high and high school were vaccinated for smallpox, and 78 students were lnnoculated for dlptheria. The details for carrying out this large scale immunization program were worked out by Mrs. Fred Warner, War-ner, PTA President, and Miss Rhoda Larson, Public Health Nurse. A refund has been made to those students who paid for both smallpox small-pox and dlptheria treatments but who because of previous dlptheria immunization received only the smallpox vaccination. The following doctors were present pre-sent at the various clinics to give the serum: Dr. J. S. Prestwlch, Dr. A. L. Graff. Dr. Reed W. Farns-worth Farns-worth and Dr. L, V. BrOadbent. |
