Thank you very much. Drama Hub Returns After a very enjoyable time, the Drama group Is back at school and at work again. The results at the contests In Provo were quite satisfactory. satis-factory. Marie Little placed In Dramatic Reading, and this was the highest honor given to any of our students. Though Marie was the only one who placed, the debaters, de-baters, the one-act play and the oration group all received constructive construc-tive criticism. The students had a great time listening to the other groups which participated In the contests. They returned alter seeing see-ing the presentation of "Susan and God", Saturday night. For Defense The sale of Defense stamps Is continually rising. The grand total of our sales has now reached $363.60. The juniors are still in the lead with $120.50 to their credit, the seniors are gaining with $101.00, the faculty members are next with $92.80 worth of stamps and the sophomores have $43.30 worth. Anticipate Trip To Provo Our first-year type team Is going to Join In the contests at Provo this week end. Evelyn Kunz. Arlene Barlow, Audrey Haight and Jim Holyoak are the students who will enter. A. W. Stephenson, the commercial com-mercial teacher, will supervise this trip. We are rather proud of the result re-sult of our contests on Vocational placed second In productionETAO Day. The first -year type team placed plac-ed second In production and third in speed. Members of the first-year team were, Evelyn Kunz. Arlene Barlow, Audrey Haight, Jim Holy-oak Holy-oak and Allen Taylor. The second-year second-year team, with Leslie Rollo, La-Dawn La-Dawn Riddle, Elaine Leigh, and Dale Milne, place first In production, produc-tion, second in speed and second In accuracy. Individually, Dale Milne placed second In production and I.esle Rollo placed third in the same contest. Musiu Festival To Be Held Here On the 25th. day of April, the annual Music Festival will be held at the Cedar City High School. Students Stu-dents from all of the schools of Southern Utuh will be present at the contests. They will register in the forenoon and the contests will also be held during the morning. In the afternoon there will be the usual marching and parading on Main Street. A nice noon luncheon will be given to all participants. We are all looking forward to this day. Junior Prom Friday, April 10 The Junior Prom, the biggest dance of the school year, Is being held Friday, April 10th. In the high school gym. The theme for the Prom la "South Sea Island Magic", which Is Indeed appropriate for such i attractive and beautiful clecora- Hons. |
