Names New Officers i New officers of the Cedar City Parent-Teachers Association were announced at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the organization organiza-tion held Thursday night, with Mrs. Fred Warner, retiring president, presiding. Mrs. John Lundell will act as president of the association during 1042-43, with Mrs. John Beal as vice-president, and Mre. Go$lon Christensen, as program chairman. These officers and their delegates will attend the State P.-T. A convention conven-tion to be held In Salt Lake City April 24 and 25. Mrs. Celestla S. Brown, district director of community service programs, pro-grams, and Mrs. Mabel Williams, Iron County superintendent of the school lunch program, met with the Board Thursday to discuss the problems prob-lems of carrying on the school hot lunch even though the number of WPA workers available has been drastically reduced. Several plans for continuing the school lunch In such a way as not to reduce student participation of the present high standards are under consideration. The Board gave its approval to the suggestion that the possibility of offering immunization against Typhoid Fever to all Cedar City school children be thoroughly Investigated. |
