Show ST. GEORGE AUDIENCE HAILS CEDAR CITY LADY'S READING OF "WATCH ON THE RHINE" The Washington County News iast week paid tribute to Mrs. W. Arthur Jones of Cedar City fo: her very skillful reading of Lillian Hellman's play, "The Watch On the Rhine," which was given before a large audience in the St. George stake tabernacle Sunday, November Novem-ber 23. Mrs. Jones has already read the play In Cedar City before several sev-eral different groups, each time receiving enthusiastic praise. To quote the St. Oeorge paper; "This was a very difficult play, but Mrs. Jones proved herself adequate to every requ.rement and the audience audi-ence sat fairly spellbound throughout through-out the nearly two hours required for the reading With a difficult dif-ficult group of personalities continually con-tinually concerned in the plot, Mrs. Jones gave a delightful and faltn-ful faltn-ful Interpretation of each one, adults and children, and will be welcomed In St. Oeorge again whenever she has time to read another an-other play." Mrs. Jones was presented by the Associated Literary Clubs of St. George who sponsored the bimonthly bimonth-ly Sunday evening book reviews |
