Show Incomplete Reports Indicate County Met Red Cross Goal The annual Red Cross Roll Call drive conducted throughout Iron County between November 10 and 30, was very successful, according to Elmer B. Qulst. Roll Call chairman chair-man of the Iron County chapter of the American Red Cross. The response res-ponse this year was much better in every community than at any time in the past, and the Red Cross officers of-ficers believe the success of the drive was due to the enthusiasm of the workers, together with the willingness on the part of citizens to cooperate In putting the county over the top. , While the returns are still incomplete incom-plete for several towns of the county, and no official figures have been released, Mr. Qulst announced that Cedar City, Summit and Para-gonah Para-gonah have reached their quotas which were set this year ab 15 per cent of the population. In the case of Paragonah, in particular, the drive was autstandingly successful, the community's enrollmet for 1941 being 400 per cent more than the enrollment for 1940. As yet no definite defi-nite Information has been received receiv-ed from Parowan, Enoch and Kan-nara, Kan-nara, although preliminary reports Indicate ilnat these communities will also reach their quotas. Of. the money collected, Mr. Qulst announced, 50 per cent of the $1.00 memberships will be kept within the county and used for local Red Cross relief, as will alll but 50 cents of each sum contributed by various var-ious organizations and individuals. Mr. Qulst also pointed out that those contributing to the drive are entitled to membership In the Red Cross organization and urges everyone every-one to take an active part in the affairs of the Iron County chapter. The annual meeting of the organization organi-zation will be held some time this month, the exact date to be announced an-nounced later, and everyone who joined during the recent Roll Call is urged to be present In order to halp elect the officers and have a vote In the handling of the local funds.
