Conference, Con-ference, and to wind up a very successful suc-cessful season under the new mentor. men-tor. ,. ,,. The Aggie victory over the Flyers was much more convincing than the score of 14 to 0 would Indicate, True, an alert and scrappy bunch of Dixie players captallzed on breaks to keep the Aggie score down, but nearly the entire game was played in Dixie territory and the Flyers never once threatened. The B.A.C. crew marched down the field early In the first period to the Dixie 26, and attempted a field goal, which was blocked. Soon afterwards after-wards a sustained drive carried the ball to the Dixie three, where an Aggie fumble was recovered by Dixie. The Aggies were again lolled in the early part of the third quarter quart-er when a lateral from Ogden to Duffin went wrong and the Flyers recovered on their 9 yard stripe. Continuing to wade through the Dixie defense the B.A.C. again marched down the field and this time Ogden crashed over for thi Initial score of the game. Musteen converted and the Aggies were on lead 7 to 0, enough to win the game. However a little later Musteen, as usual, added a sensational play for another score. He went back to pass and failing to find a receiver elected elect-ed to run, and with his team-mates blocking nicely he wormed his way through the entire Dixie team to go 68 yards to a touchdown and then kicked the extra point. B.A.C. threatened on two other occasions, losing the ball on downs on the 11 yard stripe once, and Lytle intercepted a B.A.C. pass on his 12 yard line to prevent another score. The only time that the losers really real-ly got Into the B.A.C. territory, was when Ogden fumbled on the B.A.C. 30, on a punt return, and Dixie recovered. re-covered. However, Ogden nullified this threat a few plays later when he Intercepted a desperate Dixie pass. The Aggies ended the season with four conference and two non-cqn-ference victories, and with two conference con-ference losses. Their loss to Weber College was the only black mark on their record, in the minds of the players themselves tycauie they really feel that they should have won that one. After winning from the Nevada University frosh at Reno in a close season opener, the Aggies went Into In-to conference competition, losing to Mesa and Weber, and winning from Snow, Carbon, Westminister and Dixie In league games and trimming Dixie In a non-confer ence tussle. i The B.A.Cr team scored more points in league play than any other team In the conference, running run-ning up a total of 122 points to a 107 for Mesa, 43 for Dixie, 67 for Carbon, 26 for Weber, 19 for Snow. Only Mesa and Weber allowed fewer few-er points to be scored against them than the Aggies, who had 40 points against them, Weber 16, Mesa 27, Dixie 54, Carbon 80, Westminister 88, and Snow 64. Mesa and Weber were the only conference teams to score against the Aggies, Mesa scoring 36 and Weber 20 points against them. Although the Aggies finished in a tie with Dixie in conference standing the season's record would Indicate that the B.A.C. team is the better team.
