Show FORMER CEDAR RESIDENT WILL SING LEADING ROLE IN SALT LAKE CITY OPERA Cecil 0. Christetisen, a former Cedar City resident, has been chosen chos-en to sing one of the leading roles in the Salt Lake City Opera Association's Associa-tion's production of "The New Moon," which Is to be given in that city for four successive evenings beginning Wednesday, December 10. He will sing the baritone part d Robert in the production. Mr. Chrlstensen, who spent several sev-eral months in Cedar City where he was employed by the Karl Winter Win-ter wholesale house, is well known locally, having been active In musical musi-cal circles while he was here. In addition ad-dition to singing In many Salt Lake City high school and church productions, pro-ductions, he also took part in the opera "Carmen" which was presented pre-sented by the Branch Agricultural College, and in "Blossom Time," a presentation of the Salt Lake Opera Association. He Is a member of and soloist with the Orpheus club, and In 1939 was second place winner for Utah In the State Federation Music contests. |
