Show $ Cedar City Couple Observes Golden Wedding Date Tuesday, February 25th., marked the fiftieth wedding anlversary of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bryant, old-time old-time residents of Cedar City, and their children entertained at open houses at the family residence in honor of the occasion. A large number num-ber of friends and relatives called during the afternoon to pay their respects to the honored couple. Mr. and Mrs. Bryant were married in Cedar City on February 25, 1891, and have made their home here since that date. Ten children were born to them, six of whom are still living, as follows: Mrs. Cora Davenport, Daven-port, Daniel H., Naze and Odell Bryant, all of Cedar City, Mrs. Madge Stelchak of Parowan, and Jack Bryant of Los Angeles, California. Califor-nia. They also have 15 living grandchildren. grand-children. All of their children except ex-cept their son Jack were present at their parents' golden wedding celebration. cele-bration. Mrs. Bryant was born in Cedar City on Ottober 8, 18G4, a daughter of John and Rachel Evans Harris who were among the first settlers to come to this part of the state. Mr. Bryant was born in Indiana on February 13, 1854, a son of John and Mary Foxworthy Bryant. He came west and settled in Nevada in 1879, coming to Utah to make his home few years later. |
